Our Work

Biodiversity is what makes Earth different from all other planets. Biodiversity is life. It is the plants, the animals, and, of course, us. Protecting life on Earth is what we do.

  • Saving Species

Saving wildlife species from extinction is the driving force behind everything GWC does. Whether it is a member of the “smaller majority,” such as amphibians, insects and fish, or large charismatic mammals like elephants, we work with our partners to ensure these incredible species are around for generations to come.

  • Protecting Wildlands

Conserving Wildlands is a central initiative for GWC and for many of our partners. This approach focuses on protecting large areas of land that are home to a range of endangered species, benefitting them all. Working with local partners and communities, we are helping to create protected sites, from community forests to national parks.

  • Building Capacity

At GWC we understand that investing in people and organizations is vital to any long-term conservation strategy. We work to identify key individuals that can make a real difference to conservation around the world and invest in their development, helping to facilitate their growth within the world of conservation.

Where We Work

GWC helps fund vital conservation work around the world. Working with partners, we have helped fund projects in the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Oceania.
